Burgh le Marsh Town Council is made up of 12 Councillors. The full Town Council meets monthly on the last Tuesday of each month (not December). In addition, the council have one committee, which is the Staffing / Personnel Committee.

Each year, the Council elects a serving Councillor to become the Chairman of the Council and to hold the office of “Town Mayor”.
