Community litter picks throughout last year were a great success, thanks to the wonderful volunteers supporting us. We are continuing to hold litter picks on the second Saturday of each month, starting on Saturday 11th February 2023 at 10.00am.
The central meeting point is the Market Place, where routes and equipment can be collected, returning to Tinkers Green for approx. 11.00am. Light refreshments will be available.
We do have routes covering the outskirts of the village. If preferred, equipment kits can be collected prior to the litter pick date from the Library during our opening times (Tuesday 2.00pm-4.30pm, Thursday 10.00am-1.00pm and Saturday 10.00am-1.00pm) and start from a location that may suit better and meet back at Tinkers Green for approx. 11.00am.
To help us plan and cover as much of Burgh as possible please let us know if you are thinking of coming along. Contact our Clerk on: Tel 01754 811218, email: clerk@bughlemarsh-tc.gov.uk or direct message our Facebook page: Burgh le Marth Town Council.

Please note: our May litter pick will be held on Bank Holiday Monday, 8th May 2023, for The Big Help Out. In tribute to His Majesty The King, The Big Help Out is to encourage people to try volunteering and join the work being undertaken to support their local area. The aim of The Big Help Out is to use volunteering to bring communities together and create a lasting volunteering legacy from the Coronation Weekend. More details to follow regarding celebrations for the Coronation 6th – 8th May 2023.
