Purchase of the Methodist Church

Published 26th June 2026 by The Town Clerk

We are delighted to announce that the purchase of the Methodist Church on Jacksons Lane has now officially been completed. The building has been secured for the benefit of our whole community — a proud moment for Burgh le Marsh.

As many of you will know, the Town Council has been working for some time on this project. Following community consultation, during which we received overwhelming support, the Council proceeded with the purchase process.

The next stage, over the coming months, will see some alterations inside the church room to level the floor. Once complete, the library service and Clerk’s office will relocate from the temporary building at Tinkers Green.

The community room at the rear of the building will then be available for hire, creating a new space for local groups, activities and events.

This has been a lengthy journey, but a real triumph for Burgh le Marsh. The purchase has been made possible through council funds and a generous grant from the East Lindsey Investment Fund, for which we are extremely grateful.
