We are supporting the renovation of our War Memorial, which we hope you understand is a lengthy process. We have some names that potentially need to be added of three servicemen from the Burgh le Marsh area.
Do you know any of their family/friends still in the Burgh le Marsh area or know any background details of these servicemen or family for the following:
- Walter Joseph Peacock. Born in Burgh le Marsh and lived a Gunby for a time. He is recorded on a plaque in Gunby Church. The 1911 census records the family living on Station Road.
- George Jepson the husband of Annie Jepson of Fairmont, East End, Burgh le Marsh.
- William Ronald Dishman the son of Sylvia and William Dishman of Burgh le Marsh, died in Canada.
It would be great to know the background of these men and support the process of adding them to our War Memorial.
